I started doing an “end of the year blog” and then stopped before I reached the end. When I started reading my blog and Facebook postings for the year 2011, it became very clear to me that it would be impossible to be short and sweet.
2011 was a defining year for me. I traveled. I met new people. I grieved. I formed long-lasting friendships. I laughed. I cried. I fell in love. My heart was changed, my purpose and passions made clear, and slowly but surely, I began to figure out my loves, my likes, my dreams, my hopes, and my gifts. I truly found my voice and finally felt safe enough to open my heart to an amazing man who loves beyond compare.
On January 1, 2011, I was at work because I didn’t have anything else to do. On January 1, 2012, I was driving around California Coastal towns looking for places to get married.
Thank you for being part of the journey that was 2011 and I am looking forward to sharing the adventures of 2012! While 2011 rocked me to the core, 2012 is a year full of promise. And now as we look forward to 2012 wondering what adventures await, here is what I wish for you:
A year full of…
… lessons which make you wiser, but spare you pain.
… laughs that make your sides hurt, your belly shake and your eyes water.
…friends who are there for you more than ones who are not.
…unconditional love from those who surround you.
…time to daydream and believe.
…grace and gratefulness in every experience.
…time to do what you love.
… strength, determination and confidence this year to embrace the adventures ahead.
Above all, I hope 2012 is a wonderous, amazing, inspiring, peaceful year for all y’all. I hope you continue to do what makes you happy, surrounded by people who make your heart fill with love.
2012? Bring it on. Grateful, blessed, and so ready.
Love, me
